Teens for new feature film

I am looking for the following to submit to casting for a new feature film being shot on the East Coast (casting out of NY)

[HENRY] 13 years old (submit 10-14yrs), Caucasian Male – He is a true innocent, who wears his sensitivity and the anxiety of pre-sexual enlightenment like wet pajamas. Henry has taken over the role of caretaker and protector to his fragile, reclusive mother Adele and, while he still sees his remarried father once a week, he knows Adele is his real family. He is an observant boy who understands his mother’s loneliness and longing and makes her "husband for a day" coupons, but is just too young to understand what part of a husband he is not equipped to carry out. When a new man enters the picture, the friend-less Henry is both exhilarated by the relationship and threatened by the prospect that he is no longer needed by his mother. LEAD.

[ELEANOR] 14yrs, (submit 10-14 yrs) Caucasian. A skinny girl who may or may not still have an eating disorder. Also a product of a broken home, she is newly moved from a big city to live with her father and already bored with the small town entertainments. An intelligent girl, she dreams of a boarding school where the focus is drama and the teachers "stay off your case." Eleanor learned how to get what she wants with wit, calculations and her newly developed sexual awareness. To Henry she is the mysterious hot girl who seems to know everything about the world that he doesn’t. LEAD

[BARRY] 15 years. Caucasian, special needs, could be Down’s Syndrome or Cerebral Palsy. He is the wheelchair bound son of Adele's only friend Evelyn. He is perhaps more engaged in the world around him than his mother realizes. He can only communicate through gurgles and mumbles. Seeking actors who can play this condition and those who have the condition. SUPPORTING.

It is Pilot Season!

And I have been swamped but it is a priority that I now post weekly!!!! So stay tuned for weekly updates (minimum).

It has been a crazy week with lots of auditions (and some missed auditions), some "drops" and lots of paperwork! I have signed a couple of great new talent that I know will hit it big if not this season then next season! I have preached to several clients about the importance of headshots that say something!! Just a "pretty" pic does not work unless you are KNOWN. I am doing a whole blog on headshots next week!

I have a showcase on Tuesday evening. I love going to showcases and I have found some of my best actors at showcases!

Till next week - break a leg!

Recommended Reading

For anyone thinking about coming to Hollywood to get into acting (or continue their acting) then I recommend "Hollywood Here I Come" by Cynthia Hunter. It is aimed at the 18 and over actor but parents can also get some good information from this book. As the industry changes weekly and sometimes daily -- some information might be outdated but the general information is the most informative I have ever read about getting started in the industry.

Also for every age (but parents of kids especially) is "It's a Freeway Out There" by Judy Belshe Toernblom. It is a large book crammed with everything you need to know about working in Hollywood!!!! I would say for "newbies" it is a must!!!!!!

Both the above books can be purchased from Amazon.com

And for parents of minors -- another must have -- is The Blue Book by the Studio Teachers. I believe the only place to get the Blue Book is from www.studioteachers.com. The SAG office used to sell them but I would suggest checking the website!
