Breakdown
Molly’s Mother: (mid-twenties to early thirties) A young mother and Army wife with a six year old daughter. Her husband is currently assigned overseas and is expected to be away from home for Christmas. Must be a singer with a strong pop soprano voice.

Molly’s Daddy: (late twenties - mid-thirties) Singer, in a capella quartet.

Macy’s Head Elf: (mid twenties) Overworked child wrangler at Macy’s Santaland. Strong dancer (esp. Tap).

Salvation Army Santa: A man ringing the bell for donations outside Rockefeller Center. Can sing song in classic Motown style. (Also in a capella quartet).

Radio City Lead Reindeer: (20s - early thirties)A woman who heads ushering and crowd control efforts at Radio City Musical Hall. Strong singer and dancer.

Santa Claus: (appears 50s - 60s) The real Santa.

DREW DILLENBECK: A young (20’s), handsome rocker. He has great comedic timing and is a strong rock tenor. Drew desperately wants to be a rocker, but works as a bar back at the famous “Rock of Ages” club on the Sunset Strip until his dreams, however unrealistic, come true. Any ethnicity. PRINCIPAL

SHERRIE CHRISTIAN: A young (20’s), pretty Caucasian girl who has left her Midwestern family to pursue stardom in Los Angeles. She is innocent, naïve with great comedic timing. She has a strong rock voice with terrific movement. PRINCIPAL

LONNY BARNETT: A middle-aged guy with very strong comedic timing and a commanding but comically strong rock voice. Our narrator, he has a slightly unflattering appearance but doesn’t see it. Any ethnicity. PRINCIPAL

DENNIS DUPREE: An older (40’s) guy who runs the famous “Rock of Ages” club on the Sunset Strip. He is caught between a rock and a hard place when German business men pressure him to sell his club. He is possibly heavyset with very strong comedic timing. Any ethnicity. PRINCIPAL

STACEE JAXX/ FATHER: A Rock Star. He is Middle-Aged, Caucasian and very sexy. He is at the top of his game and just left his very successful metal rock band to venture out on his own. He has very strong comedic timing and a strong rock voice. Arrogant and charming, his life is a merry-go-round of good old sex, drugs and rock-n-roll. This actor will also play Sherrie’s father. PRINCIPAL

JUSTICE CHARLIER/MOTHER: Justice is an older (40-50) commanding African-American woman who runs the strip club where Sherrie ends up when the going gets rough. She is sultry, maternal and a sexy madam with strong vocals and belt. This actress will also play Sherrie’s mother. PRINCIPAL

HERTZ KLINEMANN: He is an uptight, older (40-60) German business man who is looking to take over Sunset Strip. He is our villain. Needs to have a commanding presence with a strong voice and great comedic timing. He needs to have a good German accent. Caucasian. PRINCIPAL

FRANZ KLINEMANN: He is a young (20-30’s) foppish German who is pressured by his father to work for his business. He is small, shy with a good voice and strong comedic timing. PRINCIPAL

REGINA: She is a granola girl (20-40’s) who has strong comedic timing. She is a hilarious, tree-hugging fighter who will stop at nothing to protect the Sunset Strip. Any ethnicity. PRINCIPAL

Seeking—Aladdin: male, plays 18, 5'7"-5'11", good physique, good-looking guy filled with teenage charm and appeal, great charisma, clever, survives on the streets of Agrabah, baritone/tenor with a youthful sound; Jasmine: female, plays 18, 5'2"-5'6", beautiful, independent, feisty princess, desperately longs to experience life beyond the castle walls, soprano with strong mix, contemporary musical theatre/Disney princess sound; Genie: male, 26-40s, charismatic and full of energy, great celebrity impressionist, quickly transforms from character to character, genuinely pained by his lack of freedom, especially seeking actors with extensive improv and physical comedy background, must carry a tune; Jafar: male, 35-55, 6'0"+, commanding and menacing presence, great classical actor, a real man capable of evil - not an animated character, lusts for power, desires Jasmine, bass/baritone with deep rich voice; Note: All roles must be at least 18 or older.
